After moving states away to attend college here at UNCW, going through recruitment really helped me find my home away from home, and make the Panhellenic friendships I value so much today. Hi everyone!! My name is Avery, and I’m a senior majoring in Marketing & Professional Selling! I’m originally from Fuquay-Varina, NC, but as soon as I came to college, Wilmington quickly became home. I love animals, beach days, walking the Loop, Pilates classes, and trying new coffee shops and cute restaurants! I’m also an only child, and I can confidently say that joining a sorority gave me the sisters I never had. It has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Going through recruitment as a freshman, I was definitely nervous like everyone else, but my RC was so supportive, helpful, and always knew how to make us laugh when we needed it most.
